The Ore mountains ridge North
route
The
north route along the ridge of the Ore Mountains (marking number 23) mostly
runs closely to the saxo-bohemian border. In this remote region you´ll
hardly meet any soul, so you mostly have the rough beauty of the fens and
woods miles and miles for yourself. If you lodge yourself for some days in
one of the few settlements like Rübenau or Malı Háj you could sight the rare
blackcocks during their pairing in a cool spring morning. In autum the bell
of deers break through the silence of the wide moor woods. |
