The Natzschung Valley
The Natzschung creek rises in 810 m altitude in one of
the biggest fens of the Ore Mountains, the nature reserve Novodomské
raseliniste. Up here several lakes remind the former hammers and sawmills in
Nacetín and Kalek, where today time seems to stand still. Between the rocks
Stoesserfelsen and Kamenný vrch (842 m) the creek roars through a 300 m deep
gorge, where there standed the village Gabrielahuetten until year 1946,
which has completely vanished. The past comes alive in the copper hammer „Saigerhütte“
in Grünthal.
