The Floeha Valley
The Floeha river with its tributaries drains the biggest
part of the Middle Ore Mountains. It rises at the western slope of the
mountain Bournak near the well-known spa Teplice. In the headwaters there
are the two drinking water reservoirs Fláje and Rauschenbach. The bikeway
along the Floeha Valley starts in Olbernhau and accompanies the river until
its mouth into the Zschopau river. On the whole route the Floeha Railway
runs parallel through the valley, so you can use it for single passages or
rather for the journey (in the trains free transport of bikes).

The Valley and Family route
The Floeha bikeway runs between Olbernhau and the town of Floeha for
long periods directly along the river.
Only between Blumenau and Rauenstein there isn´t enough space in the
narrow valley, so that the route climbs some metres up the slope to
Wernsdorf, leads along the still reservoir Saidenbach and returns to the
Floeha valley vis-a-vis the castle of Rauenstein. You´ll be rewarded for
the troubles with beautiful views over the valley to the surrounding
mountain ranges. If you still want to avoid the ascent you can use the
railway from Blumenau to Lengefeld-Rauenstein.
